Rudy Thompson, CAM®

Partner/Director of Association Management

Rudy Thompson is the President and Managing Director for Dorman Association Management. He is responsible for day to day operations. He is also a licensed community association manager and manages multiple associations. Prior to starting Dorman Association Management, Rudy held positions as the President/CEO of Manitou Properties and Director of Operations for Muldoon Associates HOA department.

Rudy has held a general contractors license for over ten years and specialized in all areas of interior and exterior renovations. Rudy is a Colorado Springs native, husband and father of two, when he’s not working, he enjoys mountain biking, snowboarding and spending time with family. Rudy received his BA from the University of Colorado, Colorado Springs in 1991, he received an MBA in Operations Management from Regis University in 2004.

Jennie James, CAM®

Community Association Manager

Prior to working as a manager for Dorman Association Management, Jennie spent 7 years working for School District 11 as a specialist, then coordinator, for the School to Work Alliance Program, where she and her team proudly provided individuals with mild to moderate disabilities with the skills and opportunities needed to be successful in the workplace.

Jennie obtained a bachelor’s degree in Social Work from Colorado State University, and enjoyed working in the field in some capacity for the next 20 years, while also raising her 2 boys. She has been married to her husband Todd for 24 years and loves staying active in the outdoors, going to concerts, and following her boys to wherever their lives take them. Jennie especially enjoys assisting homeowners and boards with creating healthy communities.

Mike Rojo, CAM®

Community Association Manager

Michael is a former Engineer/Infantryman having served in the Army for 10 years. After being medically discharged, he hung up his boots and began his career in property management. Over the course of 4 years, Michael was a property manager and oversaw multiple apartment communities. Working in that environment has prepared him for HOA management because every day is different, and like the apartment industry, establishing relationships and trust with the homeowners and Board members is crucial. Michael currently manages nine associations, and while every association is different, he finds the common denominator is communication, and is key in order for the associations to run as successfully as possible.

When not at work, Mike enjoys spending time with his daughter going fishing, hiking, and camping.

Heather Rice, CAM®

Community Association Manager

Before joining Dorman’s Association Management team in 2018, Heather Rice spent 11 years providing customer service in a multitude of industries. She decided to make the switch to the association management industry because she has a strong passion for creating and building client relationships. Her focus is creating a sense of Community in the Associations she manages by assisting them in reaching their goals and serving as a support system for her board members and homeowners.

Heather was born and raised in Michigan where she attended Oakland University and obtained her Associates Degree in Business. In 2012, she answered the call of the mountains and made the move to her second home, Colorado. Outside of the office, Heather spends her free time camping, hiking and snowboarding with her fiancé and two dogs. Heather also enjoys practicing yoga, live music, and discovering new breweries around the world. “

Carrie Butierres

Community Association Manager in Training

Carrie Butierres is in training to be a Community Association Manager. She previously worked at as a staff assistant at Mann Middle School. Working with staff and students, contributing to growth and accomplishments is rewarding to her.

For the last 12 years, she had the opportunity to coach middle school and high school football, so being a team player is important to her. She has two amazing sons, a daughter-in-law, loving parents, nine supportive siblings, three happy-to-see-her dogs; family is priceless to her.

Carrie is organized, an expert problem solver, always strives for excellence, and enjoys building positive relationships. She looks forward to helping communities reach their goals and making a difference in communities.

Ali Thompson

Accounting Manager

As the accounting manager Ali is responsible for the day to day accounting operations for all associations, as well as month end financial reporting. Ali has been with Dorman for a year and half. In her time at Dorman she has played an integral role in launching our new hoa specific accounting system, which has made her an expert in all areas of the system. Ali loves that there is so much to learn in the accounting system we use, as well as in the HOA industry.

Ali attended Colorado State University Pueblo from 2013 to 2015, where she was a member of the women’s basketball team. After ending her basketball career, she transferred to the University of Colorado, Colorado Springs where she received a Bachelor of Science in finance and information systems in 2017.

Outside of work, Ali can be found in the mountains snowboarding or studying as she works toward completing her nanodegree in programming for data science. As a Colorado native, Ali also enjoys hiking the local trails around Manitou, playing sports, and spending time with family.

Courtney James

Assistant CAM

“Courtney has worked in property management for six years where she managed a 220 unit apartment community here in Colorado Springs. Needing to make a change, she saw a job posting with Courtney and Courtney and thought it was kismet. After C&C was acquired by Dorman Association Management, she decided to stay on board where she’s been for a little over a year now.

Courtney obtained her undergraduate degree in Mass Communications with a double emphasis in Public Relations and Advertising and minored in Spanish from Colorado State University-Pueblo. In regards to working in the HOA division, Courtney loves that every day is a bit different than the previous day---every day’s a welcomed change. She also enjoys meeting new people whether they’re new homeowners or people within the industry.

In her free time, she most enjoys hanging out with her friends and family whether it’s going for a hike or a bite to eat. In the Summer, she and her fiancé can usually be found at Lake Pueblo having a great time on their boat with their friends. When she needs some quiet time, she has her nose in a good book---psychological thrillers are her favorite, writing a haiku or two, or watching The Real Housewives of (pick any…she loves them all)!”

Janiqua Tabor

Assistant CAM

Meet Janiqua, one of our dedicated Community Association Managing Assistants on the Dorman Association Management Team. She is a former resident of the State of Wisconsin who recently moved to Colorado Springs in efforts to further her Real Estate & Client Services career. With over 12 years of Customer & Client Support Services experience, she truly enjoys being a part of such a rapidly growing and excelling company!

Dorman’s culture and work environment is very comfortable, friendly & flexible which allows for awesome Work/Life Balance. Janiqua is known for smiling often (quite excessively honestly!) which helps to show a more personable side to her. Being a mother of 2 small boys, she is a wiz at multitasking and helping where is needed. As a Valued Homeowner, she personally appreciates the opportunity to provide assistance and clarity in matters of your Association

Ben Yoder, CAM®

Lead Commercial Property Manager

Ben Yoder joined Dorman Property management in March of 2018 to lead the commercial property management division, and to help with marketing and business development. Ben also holds his CAM (Community Association Manager) license, and has been managing CIC (Common Interest Communities) since 2018. The dynamic nature of the industry as well as being able to make a meaningful impact on commercial owners, owners associations, and tenants make the career field something Ben can be truly passionate about.

Ben graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Marketing from the University of Phoenix in 2011. Upon graduation he was hired on full-time with MTD Research, eventually becoming the Director of Sales and Client Relations. He left MTD in pursuit of greater growth opportunity and went to work for Maryland-based investment firm, T. Rowe Price., specializing in workplace retirement plans.
In his downtime Ben enjoys playing guitar and piano, hiking, building misc. items for his home, and spending time with his wife and four children.”
